Nestled on the hillside 600m from the centre of Capoliveri, “Casale Fonte di Rose” farmhouse overlooks the striking views of the Mola gulf, Porto Azzurro, Monserrato and the Mount Orello hills.

The Casale is a place of genuine welcome and of wonderful fragrances arising from both the luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation in which it sits and from the variety of flowers and plants which grow lush on the large private estate, together with the sea breeze wafting through the centuries-old holly oaks.

The style and the warmth are typical of the old Tuscany farmhouses with friendly welcome, attention to detail and an informal environment created by the Falagiani family owner of the Casale. The resort is the ideal place for an agreeable and pleasant stay where staff are always willing to help. The Casale lies in the perfect position to enable guests to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday in a quiet environment yet only at a short distance from the several beaches which are all different from one another. This is what makes the Capoliveri headland unique and well- known.

From Casale two shaded footpaths lead (about 1200 metres) to Naregno, a sandy beach which is particularly suitable for children and to lovers of snorkelling thanks to the scenery of the seabed of the ancient lighthouse of Forte Focardo towering over the close headland.

During the summer the Marebus shuttle bus makes daily runs from early morning and late into the evening, to and from the beaches and the many tourist centres of the municipality. The bus stop is 500m from the Casale and next to the supermarket.

In the evening, in the Capoliveri old town centre you can feel an evocative atmosphere among its artist markets and craftsman’s ateliers, meetings of art, literature and poetry while extemporized concerts are held in the corners of its picturesque alleyways.

Approximately 700m from the Casale the old road to the mines leads the visitor to one of the most enchanting places on the Island which is a natural reserve of the Tuscan Archipelago: the Mount Calamita with its old iron mines. There you can enjoy stunning views over the Archipelago Islands. The promontory is crossed by miles of forest tracks and dirt roads perfect for doing nature walking, Nordic walking, Mountain Biking (which hosts the World Cup Mountain Bike UCI Marathon World Series www.capoliveribikepark.it ), jogging and mine trekking in an evocative landscape that becomes surreal sometimes because of the geologic characteristics of the soil which blends together with the deep colours of the blooming vegetation.Many tracks wind down towards Costa dei Gabbiani a wonderful succession of tiny, unspoilt beaches, bays and coves which are otherwise accessible by sea only.
